Journal Question: How will you apply what you learned today in your professional field of radiography at home?

Today I learned a lot about how the United Kingdom does their x-rays compared to how we do them. A big thing that I noticed was that they do not necessarily do their exams in a creative way to get the best picture, whereas we will try to position the patient differently than the "proper" way to get a better view of pathology if necessary. I believe that I will continue to position patients differently so that they will get the best photos possible.

I also learned that the hospitality of the United Kingdom is much more inviting. The students were immediately welcoming to us as soon as we got there. I feel like that is often overlooked and that in the United States hospitality isn't necessarily the best. While I do try and make hospitality an important factor in my patient interactions it may not always come off that way. I plan to put more focus into my communication.

Lastly, I want to be able to look more closely at the images and get a full grasp of what is present! I was fascinated by the United Kingdom students ability to find the pathology so quickly! I also loved that they make that class a priority.
